Karin studied speech-language pathology, psychology and phonetics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and completed her doctorate in neuropsychology. During her time at Munich Hospital, she conducted research into the diagnosis and treatment of central speech and language disorders.
Since 2023, Karin has been working in the Section for Evidence-Based Medicine in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and researching the stigmatization of mental illnesses. As a researcher, she evaluates an anti-stigma school project and participates in various committees of the German Center for Mental Health.
